Gentleman’s ride 2018. London.
Photos by Charlie McKay
DGR London this year was comprised of just under 900 registered riders and has raised just under £234,000 (at the time of writing this). Amongst those riders we found so much support and camaraderie. There were fathers and daughters riding together, husbands and wives, husbands and husbands, wives and wives, fathers and sons, boyfriends and girlfriends, girlfriends and girlfriends… You get the picture! The event is about raising money for men’s health, but more than that the DGR is about support, awareness and being generally pleasant to other human beings…
…Oh who are we kidding! It’s about dressing up in your most spiffy old geezer clothes, donning that monacle you’ve been hoarding for years, putting on a moustache-wig and taking your pride and joy through the city you love. Right?!
All jokes aside, the 2018 DGR was an impressive display of support, organization, civility and stunning dress-ups.
Here are a few photos of London and a couple from beyond too.
Note, we didn’t get the names of everyone we shot, so if you see someone you know, tell them about it, or tell us about it and we can add their names to a caption. Get us at hello@hairpinjournal.com.
Also, send us the pics from your DGR! We’ve got space in this article for shots from different cities and we’d love to add yours!
